Helping people connect with themselves, others and the world around them…
My name is Jennifer Kramer and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who uses an integrative approach to therapy to meet people where they are. At periods in our life, things can become overwhelming, complicated or just plain scary. Sometimes life’s pressures become so much, we can hardly breathe or we become stuck. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts or trauma, I work alongside of you to help you alleviate symptoms that are getting in the way of you living your life.
Therapy is an investment to better understand yourself, your relationship with others and the world around you.
FAQs
Do you accept my insurance?
Prior to the first appointment, I will ask for a copy of your insurance card to be able to check benefits. I will also ask you to obtain initial paperwork to be completed and brought to the first appointment. The initial paperwork can be obtained in person or done online.
What should I expect at the first appointment?
At the first appointment, background information will be gathered as well as current symptoms and situational factors. Then together we create a plan of what you hope to accomplish from therapy. From there recommendations may be given and there will be a discussion of frequency of appointments and treatment approaches.
How is individual therapy structured?
Typically we will have 45-55 minute scheduled appointments and frequency will be determined after initial appointment. Sometimes appointment frequency is weekly, every 2 weeks or monthly, depending on your needs. Crisis information, resources and referrals will be provided when immediate mental health support is needed after hours or between appointment.
What if I am experiencing a mental crisis?
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or having suicidal thoughts call 988 to connect with the 988 Suicide and Crisis Line.
If there is an immediate threat to life or safety call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
